Each brand has its own plan. A new brand starts with a 14-day trial with no card needed, then moves to Pro, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Everything about the plan lives in **Settings → Plan**.

## The trial

The trial is everything in Pro for 14 days:

- No card needed to start.
- Unlimited seats, so you can bring the whole team in.
- 1,000 AI credits to start. See [AI credits](/docs/billing/credits).
- Unlimited agent connections.

While the trial runs, a pill next to the brand name in the top bar counts the days left. From 3 days out the count turns red and its button changes from **Upgrade** to **Add payment method**. The Owner and Admins also get an email 7 days before the end, 1 day before, and when the trial has ended.

> [!NOTE]
> The trial is once per person. A second brand you create yourself starts without one and needs a plan before it opens. A brand you join by invitation doesn't use up your trial.

## Pro

| | Monthly | Yearly |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Pro, per brand** | $149 a month | $1,490 a year (2 months free) |
| **Seats included** | 5 | 5 |
| **Each extra seat** | $29 a month | $290 a year |
| **AI credits** | 5,000 a month | 5,000 a month |
| **Agent connections** | Unlimited | Unlimited |

Pro also includes the public [share link](/docs/workspace/sharing) and the live Figma connection. When a month's credits run short, you can top up with credit packs on any plan.

Prices are in US dollars. Stripe adds VAT where it applies, based on your billing address, and a business in the EU can enter its VAT ID at checkout.

## Upgrade to Pro

Only the Owner and Admins (or a custom role with billing) can change the plan. Everyone else can read the **Plan** tab, with the buttons held back.

:::steps
### Open Settings → Plan
The card at the top shows your plan, with tiles for **Seats**, **Agents** and **AI credits**.

### Choose how to pay
Pick **Monthly** or **Yearly · 2 months free**. The price on the card follows your choice.

### Select Upgrade to Pro
Stripe Checkout opens. Enter your card and billing address, and a VAT ID or promotion code if you have one.

### Finish
After paying you come back to the **Plan** tab, which now shows Pro and the date of the next payment.
:::

If you upgrade during the trial, you keep the days that are left: the first payment is taken on the day the trial would have ended, and Pro's monthly credits arrive with it. In the trial's last 2 days the first payment is taken right away.

If the brand already has more than 5 members, checkout includes a seat for each one past the five.

## Seats

Every member of the brand is a seat, whatever their role, from Viewer to Owner. An invitation becomes a seat once it is accepted. Agents never take a seat.

On Pro the **Seats** tile shows how many of the 5 included are taken. Past five, each member is an extra seat, added to the subscription automatically when they join and taken off when they leave. Stripe prorates both ways: a seat added mid-month is charged for the rest of the month on the next invoice, and one removed is credited. The Owner and Admins get an email whenever the number of paid seats changes, and the **Invite people** dialog says what the next person will cost before you send it. See [Members and roles](/docs/workspace/team).

## Switch between monthly and yearly

Once you are paying, the **Plan** tab offers the other interval:

- On monthly, select **Switch to yearly · save $298** (more with extra seats).
- On yearly, select **Switch to monthly** in the line under the plan name.

A confirm shows what Stripe will charge today before anything is charged. Going yearly charges the year, less the unused part of the current month. Going monthly leaves the unused part of the year as credit on your account, which pays the months that follow. On yearly, AI credits still arrive 5,000 a month.

## Manage billing and cancel

Select **Manage billing** on the **Plan** tab to open the Stripe customer portal. There you can change your card, download invoices, update billing details, and cancel.

When you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. The **Plan** tab shows "Ends on" and the date, and the brand stays open until then.

## When a payment fails

Stripe retries a failed payment over the following days. The brand stays open while it does, and the **Plan** tab says "A payment failed. Update your card to keep the brand open". Update the card in **Manage billing**. If every retry fails, the subscription ends and the brand is locked.

## When a brand is locked

A brand locks when its trial ends unpaid, when its subscription ends, or when it was created without a trial and has no plan yet. Nothing in it is deleted.

- In the app, every page shows a lock screen, such as "Acme's trial has ended", except **Settings → Plan** and **My profile**. The Owner and Admins see **Choose a plan**, which leads to the **Plan** tab. Others are asked to contact the owner.
- Outside the app, the brand pauses. Agents connected over MCP, BRAND.md, the tokens file, the bundle and the share link all answer: "This brand's Archetype plan has ended, so its brand context is paused. An owner or admin can renew it in Settings → Plan."
- Credit packs can't be bought until the brand has a plan again.

Upgrade to Pro from the **Plan** tab and everything opens again as it was.

## Enterprise

For white-label, SSO or several brands on one bill, select **Talk to us** at the bottom of the plan card. Enterprise is priced by agreement, with no seat limit and AI credits as agreed. Brands on Enterprise see it on the **Plan** tab, with "Billed by agreement".

Some brands are on Pro at no charge. Their **Plan** tab reads "Complimentary", and they have no seat limit.
